About UNIT2

The sovereign AI layer for Dutch organizations.

UNIT2 builds sovereign agentic AI infrastructure for organizations in the Netherlands — deploying Digital Employees that run on premises, never send data abroad, and deliver 24/7 operations at 40-50% of European employee costs.

Who is UNIT2

UNIT2 deploys named Digital Employees — AI colleagues with defined roles — directly onto premises in the Netherlands. Within your controlled environment, a collaborative team of AI agents mirrors and executes operational workflows alongside your existing teams.

The platform functions as a Digital Twin of your organization. Rather than replacing existing processes, it mirrors them in parallel and gradually automates operational tasks while maintaining full human oversight and Human-in-the-Loop control.

The system architecture separates strategic reasoning from operational execution. The Bridge (strategic layer) handles planning, analysis, and decision support. The Deck (execution layer) handles structured tasks — invoices, logistics, procurement, compliance, and system integrations.

Heritage

Born from real-world engineering.

UNIT2 is a spin-off of the RC Dock Group of Companies, a recognized leader in the design and engineering of complex autonomous maritime platforms. RC Dock has extensive experience developing unmanned surface vessels, remote operations infrastructure, and advanced control systems for offshore and defense environments.

The group is also specialized in integrating complex sensor systems for subsea data acquisition, remote inspection, and large-scale maritime data processing.

This engineering background forms the foundation of UNIT2. The team combines hands-on maritime engineering experience with advanced AI architectures to build systems that operate reliably in real-world industrial environments where safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance are critical.

OceanVault

Verifiable AI data governance.

UNIT2 operates in close alignment with OceanVault, a decentralized data storage platform utilizing blockchain technologies to ensure that AI training data remains auditable, immutable, and provable.

OceanVault enables organizations to maintain verifiable records of datasets used to train autonomous and AI-driven systems, supporting compliance with emerging regulatory frameworks such as the EU AI Act for complex autonomous technologies.

What UNIT2 does.

Built for organizations managing complex regulatory frameworks, certification requirements, and multi-layer approval processes.

Tender & Bid Automation

Digital Employees analyze tender documentation, generate technical responses, create compliance matrices, coordinate supplier inputs, verify certification requirements, and assemble complete bid packages — dramatically reducing preparation time.

Certification & Compliance

Structure certification documentation, manage compliance requirements, maintain traceable records, and coordinate approval workflows across the lifecycle of projects involving classification societies, regulators, and customers.

Engineering Workflow Automation

Automate documentation-heavy engineering processes, coordinate across teams, and execute structured tasks with full audit trail and human oversight at every decision point.

Procurement Orchestration

Coordinate supplier quotations, manage RFQ processes, track deliverables, and integrate procurement data across complex multi-stakeholder projects.

Fleet & Operational Intelligence

Integration with digital twins of vessels, infrastructure, and industrial equipment. Real-time operational monitoring and decision support across distributed assets.

Regulatory Compliance Management

Structured AI lifecycle documentation and risk management aligned with ISO-based management systems, EU AI Act requirements, and industry-specific regulatory frameworks.

Our unique differentiator

Sovereign AI in the Netherlands.

What truly differentiates UNIT2 from most agentic AI companies is that we deploy on premises in the Netherlands. UNIT2 is built on sovereign compute infrastructure, secure data architecture, and real-world industrial engineering expertise.

Most AI companies rely entirely on US cloud providers and external model APIs. Their solutions depend on token-based services where data must be transmitted to third-party systems abroad. This creates limitations around data sovereignty, cost predictability, regulatory compliance, and operational security.

UNIT2 operates differently.

Through dedicated compute and storage infrastructure deployed on premises in the Netherlands, including GPU clusters and distributed data systems, we run private AI environments where models, data, and agent systems operate entirely within your controlled infrastructure.

Organizations can run open-weight large language models locally in the Netherlands, eliminating reliance on external API providers and avoiding unpredictable token-based costs. Your data never leaves the Netherlands.

Our infrastructure also enables the creation of secure organizational knowledge systems. Engineering documentation, certification records, operational procedures, and historical project data can be stored locally and used to power advanced retrieval and reasoning capabilities for your Digital Employees.

Our Purpose

The window for adaptation is short.

We understand the short- and long-term impact that agentic AI will have on every industry. The reality is straightforward: organizations that fail to transition toward AI-driven operational models will inevitably be outperformed by those that do.

Businesses that continue to rely solely on traditional, human-centric workflows risk losing competitiveness, efficiency, and ultimately market share. In our view, the window for meaningful adaptation is short. Over the coming 20 months many industries will experience a decisive shift toward agentic AI-driven operations.

Our purpose is to help organizations navigate this transition safely and successfully.

UNIT2 empowers organizations to deploy named Digital Employees that think strategically and execute operational work autonomously. The platform transforms cognitive overload, fragmented workflows, and documentation-heavy processes into coordinated, high-velocity productivity.

Rather than replacing human expertise, UNIT2 augments it. Human teams focus on strategic decision-making while Digital Employees handle structured execution, data analysis, documentation, and coordination across complex operational processes.

Our principles.

Focus on Context, Not Code

The quality of your organization's output is no longer tied to rigid scripts or fragile plugins. With UNIT2, your primary investment is in Data Context. By defining clear parameters and organizing your local data environment, you empower your Digital Employees to execute with total precision.

First-Principles Thinking

We deeply understand how an organization operates, how information flows through the business, and how complex decisions are made. From this foundation UNIT2 builds AI systems that replicate and enhance real operational processes rather than forcing companies into rigid software structures.

Human-in-the-Loop

Digital Employees execute operational tasks and coordinate workflows, while human experts retain authority over strategic decisions, approvals, and mission-critical operations. Transparency, modularity, and human control are non-negotiable.

Operational Immune System

We implement a proprietary feedback-shield that protects agentic workflows from organizational noise, allowing the system to maintain peak performance without external interference.

Future Outlook

Unified operational intelligence.

As AI agents become increasingly capable of reasoning, planning, and coordinating tasks across systems, organizations will move from isolated automation tools toward integrated ecosystems of autonomous Digital Employees.

Between 2026 and 2030 UNIT2 will focus on expanding Digital Employee ecosystems for organizations in the Netherlands — deeper integration with engineering software, operational data systems, digital twins, and procurement environments used across maritime, offshore energy, defense, and manufacturing sectors.

Looking further ahead, networks of specialized AI units will increasingly operate across large-scale industrial and societal challenges such as infrastructure optimization, climate modeling, complex logistics coordination, and human wellbeing. UNIT2 positions itself as the secure operational infrastructure that enables these intelligence systems to function reliably within real organizations.

Instead of being overwhelmed by complexity, organizations will collaborate with Digital Employees that help them reason more clearly, execute more efficiently, and solve complex problems at unprecedented scale.
